Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and creative Architecture Elevation Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing aesthetically appealing and functional building elevations that align with the overall architectural plan. You will work closely with the architectural team, clients, and project managers to ensure that the elevation designs reflect the desired style, budget, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elevation Design: Develop building elevations that enhance the visual appeal and align with the architectural style, functional needs, and client preferences.
- Conceptualization and Visualization: Create 2D and 3D visualizations of elevation designs using architectural design software.
- Material Selection: Recommend materials, textures, and finishes for the exterior façade to ensure durability, sustainability, and design consistency.
- Collaboration with Architects and Clients: Work closely with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to interpret design briefs and implement feedback.
- Compliance with Building Codes: Ensure that elevation designs meet local building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Project Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications for the proposed designs, and maintain thorough project records.
- Design Presentations: Present elevation design concepts to clients and team members, and make modifications based on feedback.
- Sustainability Focus: Incorporate energy-efficient design elements into elevations, considering factors like sunlight, ventilation, and thermal performance.
- Site Visits: Visit project sites as needed to ensure the elevation design is being implemented correctly and resolve any design issues that arise during construction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in architectural elevation design or façade design.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Experience with 3D rendering software V-Ray, Lumion, or Rhino is a plus.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural styles, materials, and building systems.
- Creativity: A keen eye for design, detail, and aesthetics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present design ideas and interact with clients and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to provide creative solutions to design challenges while meeting project constraints.
Additional Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting and rendering.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building materials.
