Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Assistant Buffet Steward to join our onboard hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the buffet area, supporting the restocking of food stations, and ensuring excellent guest service throughout the dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of buffet areas during meal services.
- Assist with setup, replenishment, and breakdown of buffet stations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (including USPH/HACCP).
- Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to supervisors.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in a food service or hospitality environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work long shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
