Job Description
Overview:
At IntelliSense.io, we are seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer or Big Data Engineer to join our dynamic global team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects that enhance the Circular Economy for Metals through our Scientific AI-powered Decision Intelligence Platform. You will be instrumental in building scalable data systems that improve mining and metals operations by stabilizing processes and reducing costs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch + streaming).
- Develop real-time data processing solutions with Apache Flink.
- Build robust ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, DevOps, and Product teams on data-driven solutions.
- Improve data architecture, monitoring, observability, and governance.
- Manage schema evolution, data quality, and pipeline resilience.
- Contribute to documentation, CI/CD processes, and production deployments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Software Engineering with a focus on complex data systems.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Flink and stream processing (event time, watermarks).
- Proficiency in Java and NodeJS (Python a plus).
- Solid grasp of OOP and functional programming principles.
- Skilled in SQL with experience across relational + NoSQL databases.
