We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to work for a client located in Ortigas but will move to Makati by end of year, 2025
This is a hybrid work with 3 times onsite including weekends
Shift is 9 AM to 6 PM
Salary is up to 120K based on experience
Must be experts on Servers: Linux, Veeam (on-prem) and Cloud: AWS
With at least 7+ years of experience in system administration, with at least 2 years in AWS cloud environments.

Job Qualifications:
Must possess at least a bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science/Information Technology, or its equivalent
Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in system administration, with at least 2 years in AWS cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Linux server environments
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Backup, CloudWatch, etc)
• Working knowledge of Network Monitoring (Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Solid understanding of network concepts, VPNs, firewalls, and DNS
• Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems)
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Knowledge of NAS, SAN, and RAID Configuration
• Knowledge of Backup and Replication of on-prem servers (Veeam)

System administration and IT certifications in Linux, AWS, or other related fields are a plus

Job Summary:
The Senior System Administrator works under the direct supervision of the IT Administrator. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers.
They install and manage cloud infrastructure, hardware and software, while also participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the evolving IT business needs of the organization. System administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for provisioning, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of Linux servers, computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure including, but not limited to, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, Backup, CloudWatch
• Design and implement high availability, disaster recovery, and auto scaling solutions with continuous focus on cost-efficiency and performance
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
• Install, configure, manage, and optimize web servers such as NGINX and Apache
• Implement monitoring and alerting solution to track system health, resource usage, and enabling early detection, prevention, and mitigation for potential issues.
• Enforce security best practices across on-prem and cloud systems by conducting vulnerability assessments, managing identity and access controls, key management, and ensuring comprehensive logging and auditing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and security risks and issues, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
• Automate routine tasks such as backup scheduling, log rotation, process monitoring using BASH scripts
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Ensure regular system backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
