Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Lawyer with over 5 years of experience specializing in construction law or related industries to provide strategic legal counsel on complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manage risk through effective contract negotiation, drafting, and dispute resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work in dynamic environments in Abuja and Warri while contributing to high-impact projects.

Day To Day Responsibilities:

- Provide expert legal advice on construction contracts, project bids, and regulatory compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations
- Monitor and interpret changes in construction law and regulations
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to mitigate legal risks


Requirements:

- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution and a valid license to practice law in Nigeria
- Minimum of 5 years experience practicing construction law or legal work in a related field
- Demonstrable expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing construction contracts
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with local and international construction laws and regulations
