Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Architecture to provide strategic leadership and oversee the architectural design process across all projects. The ideal candidate will combine creative vision with technical expertise to ensure designs align with client needs, regulatory standards, and sustainability goals. This role requires a licensed architect with proven leadership experience, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Day To Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement architectural strategies that align with company goals, client expectations, and industry trends
- Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring innovation, functionality, and compliance with building codes and safety standards
- Mentor and manage a team of architects, designers, and drafters, fostering collaboration and professional growth
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate architectural designs with construction plans
- Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and sustainability standards
- Present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, incorporating feedback into final deliverables
- Oversee project budgets and timelines, balancing creative solutions with cost efficiency
- Conduct design reviews and site inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality benchmarks
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture (Masters degree preferred)
- Licensed Architect with active registration in Nigeria (or eligibility for licensure)
- Minimum of 10 years in architectural design and project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects (residential, commercial, or industrial)
- Proficiency in architectural software (Auto CAD, Revit, BIM, Sketch Up)
