Persatuan Mahasiswa Orang Asli Malaysia (PMOA) is a purpose‑driven non‑profit dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth across Malaysia. As a Graphic Designer, you will translate our mission of solidarity and cultural pride into compelling visual narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. You will collaborate closely with program teams to create impactful designs for outreach campaigns, educational materials, and digital platforms that support community development. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high‑quality visual assets for campaigns, newsletters, social media, and event materials that align with PMOA’s brand guidelines
  • Create infographics, posters, and digital illustrations that effectively communicate program outcomes and community stories
  • Collaborate with program managers and volunteers to understand design requirements and translate them into clear, impactful concepts
  • Maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms, ensuring accessibility and cultural relevance
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while upholding standards of excellence
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve visual communication


    • Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in the non‑profit or education sector
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with motion‑graphics tools such as After Effects
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to create culturally sensitive and engaging visual content
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills with attention to detail and typography
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a dispersed team
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field

    Founded on 8 January 2021, Persatuan Mahasiswa Orang Asli (PMOA) began as a small student project and has grown into a registered non‑profit organization connecting over 200 members from diverse Indigenous tribes across Malaysia. With a clear mission to empower Orang Asli youth, PMOA fosters a united network of students in higher education, promoting leadership, solidarity, and long‑term community development. Guided by the principle “when we lift our own, we rise together,” the organization offers a supportive platform for personal growth and cultural pride.
